Plus: Expansion plans in Berlin, ARK loading up, green trucks coming and more
Hey S3XY 🧤, Tesla’s executives recently met with Thai as well Indian officials. Both the countries are strategically well located for Tesla’s export base for mass market vehicle. With accelerated meetings we may possibly get Tesla’s next Asian location hopefully by end of this year.
Thailand, due to their subsidised policy and green energy commitment is racing ahead and secured many Chinese companies to set up their base in Thailand, on other hand India slashed import duty to just 15% on EVs priced more than $35K for companies committing to invest at least $500M in the country. Huge local compact market is another plus India has.
Plus hundreds of other factors to determine, who would eventually win Tesla’s investment in Asia.
And some other highlights from today’s letter 📨:
Tesla’s new “Yoke”.
Undressing CyberTruck.
Honda and Nissan mingles.
Zeekr’s Arabian dreams.
Let’s take a dive..👇🏻

TESLA BULLETS

Giga Berlin would still expand but in a lesser room than previously intended to be used.
Bull analyst: Tom Narayan of RBC Capital counts Tesla’s auto business as less than 10% contributor to his TSLA valuation model. See what he is betting on.
Next Giga: Tesla talks with Government of Thailand advancing on some front for possible Gigafactory in the country.
Improvisation: Watch adaptive headlight in action, one of the most requested feature for software updates.
Autonomy: As FSD version 12.3 rolls out in hands of more and more testers, it is getting thumbs up from most of the drives.
Better: Tesla “yoke” steering gets some minor upgrades.
Analyst: After touring Giga Texas, Evercore analyst Chris McNally says that Tesla’s true growth will occur in 2027.

Reminder: Just a hint on FSD economics, these revenue might materialise with 70%+ margins!
Assume 1 million cars in Tesla's fleet signing up for FSD monthly subscription for $199 per month.
That's $597m in net income per quarter - $2.4B per year.
2 million - $5B per year.
10 million - $25B per year.
